Frequently Asked Questions
What are Martial Arts?
In general martial arts refer to many different styles of exercise or self-defense, usually from different parts of Asia. After centuries of study the masters of their respective arts spread their knowledge through out the world.
How can children benefit from learning Martial Arts?
The same focus, control, and dedication learned by the early masters can be passed on to your child by our staff to help them achieve their goals. With the confidence your child learns with us, anything is possible.
What makes Armstrong Martial Arts different from other Schools?
While the vast majority of martial arts instructors and styles are all beneficial to children, we believe we offer something more. More progressive teaching methods, commending them while correcting them. More exciting classes, mixing things up, and not repeating the same class over and over. More overcoming challenges, setting obtainable goals, achieving them, and increasing the difficulty next time. More healthy competition, using competitive challenges to bring out the best effort and sportsmanship in everyone.
Isn’t it just a lot of fighting?
No. Our instruction is more about overcoming oneself, life's toughest adversary. Once a student has shown a lot of progress in that area, then and only then can they learn more interactive or competitive principals.
Will my child be able to "Take care of themselves"?
We instruct the life skills necessary to avoid problems and contingency plans to solve them. Confidence is a bully repellent and awareness can save lives.
How much does it cost?
Like any activity you want your children to take seriously, martial arts costs money. However, we cater to families and have many programs to suit your needs. See our rates for details.
Great, how do we start?
We offer trial programs and introductory offers through out the year. Please contact us and we will be glad to assist you.
